As quickly as the 2023/24 season ended, the 2024/25 season is almost upon us. The directors have met along with the appointed 2024/25 season senior coaches and we are delighted to share the plan ahead moving forward.

Firstly, the coaches have been confirmed as follows:

National Basketball League Conference League (D4) - Danny Byrne
Manchester Area Basketball League 1st Team - Ewan Maynard
Manchester Area Basketball League 2nd Team - Elliot Chew
Manchester Area Basketball League 3rd Team - Joel Augustine

This seasons' focus is to make all of these teams as competitive as possible in their respective leagues and competitions. To support this, trials are being held to determine which current and prospective club members will best fit in each squad.

Invitations to our NBL Conference team trials will be limited due to the level of competition. For our MABL teams we will be holding two 'showcase' sessions on Tuesday 30th July & Thursday 1st August where our coaches, alongside our head coach, will be able to finalise placing those who attend. We will be messaging our current players this will concern over the next few weeks.

Once the showcases have run and the final places have been decided, coaches will be in touch with the successful players. Our pre-season will start the following week (w/c 05/08/2024) to allow plenty of preparation time for the season ahead. All squads will be have a cap on playing numbers to ensure a competitive environment. This will lead to some attendees not making a final squad. For those players our aim is to provide regular recreational sessions to offer a coached basketball session, as well as continuing our highly successful Over 35's provision.
